The Johannesburg Choral programme is a flagship project of the City of Johannesburg. The project is an initiative that stimulate choral music development and promotion in the City of Johannesburg. The programme is important in growing an appreciation of the art form thereby creating a present and future market both at a production and consumption level. This programme consists of Local, Provincial and National choirs and are categorised as standard and large as well as soloists all performing songs will have accompaniment/s. Choirs performed Western piece, African piece and any of their traditional song of choices with an orchestra accompaniment.
